I saw this one in Japan, don’t know if it’s real but it was on the way to Izu where people from Tokyo like to get out of the city.

I used to see this one every few weeks before I moved. No idea if it’s a replica either.

Not a real RS. Has the wrong front bumper.

Looks really nice. I hope that the driver isn’t very far away as the parking doesn’t look very legal to me.

Here’s a real one. Actually it’s an RSL model with some RSR modifications. It was built by the factory and and it was given to one Finnish factory driver for practicing for the 1973 1000 Lakes Rally. It’s completely original except the tires (that are still from 70’s). That certain car is the first ever 911 to carry the famous whale tail spoiler. It’s probably worth ~€600k.

It’s owned by one local enthusiast and he actually drives with it to some events. I saw him drive with it on Friday at one gathering.

If real, it would not have the round but rectangular mirror. Also, no black centere wheels. A nicely done car, to be sure, but not period-correct reproduction.

Klaus, if done correctly, as the car you are referring to above appears to be, there is nothing wrong in my book, having a nicely reproduced car you always loved as long as it is absolutely indistinguishable from the original. Then you have all the fun and the car’s admired qualities at a still somewhat reasonable price to enjoy. The only difference - the serial number...
